DDCA MEETINGS

FALL DDCA CONFERENCE

Each year, DDCA hosts a Fall Conference for its members. Emphasis is placed on providing informative classes for coaches, as well as, social interaction with other members. The conference is usually a two-day event held in early October. Voting on issues may take place at the business meeting as well as the election of members to the Board of Directors for DDCA.. The conference location changes periodically as it travels to different areas of the State. Information on dates and location are mailed to members the summer prior to the conference.

WINTER DDCA MEETING

The Winter Meeting is usually held on the first weekend after the new year. The main emphasis of this meeting is to discuss specifics of both Dance/Drill and Show State competitions. It is very important that one coach from every school competing in the State competitions be present at this meeting. After discussing topics pertinent to both competitions, the members may split into separate groups for Dance/Drill and Show. A general membership meeting usually follows with discussion of issues and voting if necessary. All-State try-outs are held in conjunction with the Winter Meeting.

SPRING DDCA MEETING

The Spring meeting is usually held near the end of April. The main purpose of this meeting is to evaluate and review the State competitions. This meeting may include a guest speaker and lunch.
